Taylor ISD names interim superintendent days before school year starts

Lady Ducks, Tigeretts volleyball start scrimmages

Taylor and Thrall High School volleyball squads were in action on Friday morning as the Lady Ducks hosted area teams for multiple scrimmages at the Taylor High School gymnasium. Manor New Tech and Round Rock Christian Academy were also in attendance as all four schools got their varsity and junior varsity teams some valuable preseason experience before Aug.

Back to School Summer Fest Saturday – Aug. 5. The Blackshear/O.L. Price Ex-students Association will host the Back to School Summer Fest at the Fannie Robinson Park pavilion, 206 S. Dolan Street in Taylor. Registration is from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by the school supply give-away from 11 a.m. to noon. Parents must accompany and register child to receive supplies. A teacher supply drive will be held from 10 a.m. to noon.
