LETTER TO THE EDITOR
Dear Kolache Shoppe Customers, Irene Bucanek and her daughter Debbie Kubiak want to thank each of you for your patronage over the past 45 years. Irene learned how to make kolaches at a young age from her mother, Mildred Zycha. She taught the art to her daughters and granddaughters. Irene won first place in many kolache contests in Caldwell and in West. The Kolache Shoppe bakery and this wonderful community of Taylor has held a special place in the hearts of Irene and Debbie and always will. They’ve formed many friendships throughout the years and thank God for each of you. Life is full of changes and even though we’ve sold the bakery and closed the doors, we would like you to know how much we loved and appreciated your business and support throughout the years. We will miss each and every one of you, but due to bad health, it’s time to say goodbye, and relax, and enjoy life. Elvis has left the building.

To whom it may concern, This parade fiasco could have been easily avoided if Santa on the PRIDE float would have worn a simple pair of pants. When I lived in Bastrop, and people from a group in the parade were drunk, making inappropriate comments and generally displaying adult bad behavior, they were not allowed to participate the following year. Their bad behavior had consequences. This Taylor Parade thing is exactly the same. Santa wore a thong, not pants.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR
Dearest Taylor Press, Why are we sexualizing the Taylor Parade of Lights? Why does this have to be the rock PRIDE dies on? If you wanted your own parade, have your own parade. I heard, through the TAMA horses' mouths, that PRIDE never asked to be included, and therefore were never excluded from the Taylor Parade of Lights.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR
Dear Editor, Five years ago, the Taylor Christmas Parade is what charmed the heart of this big-city girl and convinced me to put down roots in Taylor. Growing up in inner-city Dallas, I had never before witnessed such familyfriendly, Christian goodwill as I saw parading down Main Street.

End Polio NOW Dear editor, It is with a heavy heart that Rotarians in our community learned about the return of this monstrous disease to the United States when a child in New York was infected and crippled by it earlier this week. It wasn’t that many years ago that Polio ravaged children in Taylor, the US and across the world.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR
Dear Editor, I admit it I can get riled about things. However, there is absolutely no excuse for everyone not to be angry and upset about what is happening to Ukraine and the people in that country! But the real angst that gets me going is people such as tucker carlson (I spell this name intentionally in lower case), and Rupert Murdoch, who allows jokers such as carlson to be on the air waves saluting Putin.
