Biology classes at Legacy Early College High School have been learning about enzymes. They participated in a modeling activity using their hand to represent the enzyme and their task was to interact with as much substrate (pennies) as possible in a given amount of time.

On Veterans Day, Independence Day and Memorial Day, central Texans fly their U.S. flags with pride. For many, there is no greater symbol of American values than the nation’s flag. And even though ‘These colors never run,’ the wind and sun in Williamson County take a toll on the cherished symbol, resulting in frayed edges, torn seams and fading.

The Taylor Economic Development Corporation was honored with a Community Economic Development Award from the Texas Economic Development Council at their annual conference Oct 22. Mark Thomas, the director of Taylor EDC, said receiving this award was a great honor.

Mini traffic circles cause major confusion

HUTTO - A low-budget solution to a downtown traffic problem is causing anxiety for some Hutto drivers. In October, three mini traffic circles were installed to support traffic flow between a newly constructed neighborhood and the historic area of downtown.
