6U Ducks host hit-a-thon fundraiser

During this time of year, baseball fans often think about the MLB and its famous home run derby competition. In Taylor, Texas, the Taylor 6u Ducks decided to hold their own competition to raise funds for their upcoming trip to the Pony World Series in Youngsville, LA.

Bonkowski selected for Blue-Grey All-American Bowl

THRALL – One Tiger will have the honor of playing in the 2023 Blue-Grey All-American Bowl in December as Thrall High School varsity football senior tight end Tyler Bonkowski will represent the West squad.

Champion Taylor Pony League team honored

A promising group of 6-year-old Pony League champions from Taylor were honored in council chambers last week. At the Taylor City Council meeting on July 13, as the city designated July as Parks and Recreation Month, Parks and Recreation Director Tyler Bybee recognized the 6U Ducks All-Star team of the Taylor Area Baseball And Softball League, which recently was named 2023 Pony League Regional Champions and are headed to the league’s World Series July 23 in Youngsville, Louisiana.
