Three bond propositions on May 6 ballot Voters within Hutto Independent School District’s boundaries will have the opportunity to vote on the 2023 Bond proposal during the May 6 election. The bond is broken into three propositions totaling $522 million.

Taylor Duck athletics is looking to soar even higher under the guidance of new athletic director Earven Flowers. Flowers, a former Division I football player at the University of Kentucky, has been on the Ducks sideline since 2018 and will now take over as athletic director and head football coach.

Coming off a 12-0 win over the Manor New Tech Titans, the Ducks battled the Hornets in a close game where the Ducks came away with a 2-1 win.

Tuesday’s game was a fan friendly game as the two teams scored a combined 40 runs with the Lady Ducks scoring 25 of them.

Los Patos fell to the El Campo Ricebirds 1-0 after a tightly contested game that included incredible defense from both teams.

Johnny Fred Zapalac Johnny Fred Zapalac passed away March 24, 2023, in Austin, at the age of 89 after complications from a stroke. Johnny was born Nov.

Mary Cruz Garcia, 71, passed away March 20, 2023. She was born Sept. 12, 1951. Visitation will be held Friday, March 31, at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Providence Funeral Home. Graveside following service at Bagdad Cemetery in Leander.

Suzanne Mary Lee, 75, passed away April 6, 2022. She was born March 18, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan.
