Despite having to replace a tremendous amount of talent, the Thrall Tigerettes looked in near mid-season form in Tuesday’s season-opening matches against Lago Vista and Cameron. Area football teams are set to take the field on Friday night as Taylor High School, Thrall High School and Granger High School all have preseason scrimmages. THRALL – Tiger Stadium was the site of the annual Meet The Tigers event as Tigers and Tigerettes fall activities for Thrall High School were on display for the community. Taylor flocks to Duck Day football scrimmage
ANDREW SALMI andrew.salmi@granitemedia partners.com The Duck Pond was the site of Taylor High School’s first Duck Day showcase (formerly Meet The Ducks) under athletic director and head football coach Earven Flowers as fall activities were introduced to the public with football, volleyball, cross country, team tennis, cheer, band, color guard and more. Taylor and Thrall High School volleyball squads were in action on Friday morning as the Lady Ducks hosted area teams for multiple scrimmages at the Taylor High School gymnasium.
