Lady Ducks dominating district play

The Taylor Lady Ducks have posted a very solid and respectable 3-1 record in district so far this season and with that comes players ranking in the top 10 of statistical categories. The Lady Ducks had seven players in the top 10 as far as points, assists, rebounds, steals and even blocks.

HUTTO – Mayor Mike Snyder led a round of pointed questions regarding the renewal of a facility use agreement between the city and the Hutto Youth Baseball and Softball Association for the 2023 softball season. The contract was discussed during the Dec. 15 city council meeting and covers fees, field usage, concession sales and general rules and regulations.

HUTTO – The goal in basketbal l is to put the bal l in the basket, and Lady Hippo basketbal l player Alyssa Bat ton knows how to do that. In a 56-35 loss to Glenn, Bat ton had 23 points, which put her over the 1,000point mark.

Hippos pick up first district win of the season

The Hutto Hippos boys’ varsity basketball team started the new year off right with a 77-67 win over the Temple Wildcats. The win brings the Hippos to a 1-1 record in district play this season, and they definitely had to earn it.

Bulldogs top Tigers

It was a tough night for the Thrall Tigers (7-7 overall, 1-1 District 27-2A) Tuesday night. The Bartlett Bulldogs (7-6, 1-1) pulled away late to top the Tigers 49-39, evening both teams’ district record at 1-1.

Tigerettes thump Lassies

The Thrall Tigerettes (17-9 overall, 2-1 District 27-2A) got double-digit scoring from four players and thumped the Bartlett Lassies (6-9, 0-4) 69-19 Tuesday night. Kassie Jackson and Kinley Hoffman led the Tigerettes with 14 points each, while CeCe Walker added 13 and Nevaeh Irvin chipped in 12.
