County OKs tax exempts
On May 17, Williamson County Commissioners Court voted to increase property tax exemptions, which should provide tax relief to residential homesteads in the county. “Williamson County has seen tremendous growth in property values this past year,” said Precinct 2 Commissioner Cynthia Long, “so it was important to the Commissioners Court that we do what we can in order to lessen the tax burden on our homeowners to combat rising home values.” Property tax exemptions for people ages 65 and older increased from $90,000 to $125,000.

Thrall High School Future Farmers of America secretary Bobby Clark has been selected to be a part of the 2022 Junior Fed Beef Career & Leadership Program this summer in Canyon. He is one of only 20 applicants that were chosen to be a part of the three-day program, which offers participants a chance to receive hands-on instruction about feedyard operations, as well as career opportunities in the fed beef industry.
