Council resumes form

Last week, Gerald Anderson and Robert Garcia were sworn in to serve another term on Taylor City Council. Anderson, who is in his second term, represents District 1.

Last week, Gerald Anderson and Robert Garcia were sworn in to serve another term on Taylor City Council.

Anderson, who is in his second term, represents District 1. Garcia, now in his third term, represents District 4.

The May 7 election had Anderson winning over newcomer Stan Werner for the District 1 seat. Garcia ran unopposed.

After they were sworn-in, the council unanimously voted to have Brandt Rydell continue to serve as mayor and Anderson to continue to serve as mayor pro tem.

The council meets the second and fourth Thursday of the month in the council chambers at city hall.
