Hippos take down Wolves

PFLUGERVILLE – The Hutto Hippos boys’ varsity basketball defeated the Weiss Wolves 61-41 Friday night to improve their record to 3-2 in district. The Hippos picked up their victory on the road and keeps them in the mix for a spot in the playoffs.

Milano tops Tigers

MILANO – Milano’s Jase Todd scored 35 points, including 19 in the fourth quarter, and the Eagles topped the Thrall Tigers (8-9 overall, 2-3 District 27-2A) 57-45 Friday night. Both teams struggled from the field through the first half as both teams shot under 30 percent for the first two quarters.

MILANO – CeCe Walker led three Thrall Tigerettes in doublefigure scoring, and the Tigerettes (19-10 overall, 4-2 District 27-2A) outscored the Milano Lady Eagles 35-7 in the second half in route to a 53-23 crushing of Milano Friday night.
