Taylor’s first ever “Break the Silence 3K Walk/Run and Kid’s Fun Run” featured perfect weather, live music, presentations, free food and plenty of giveaways, providing laughter and fun for the whole family. NICOLE LESSIN [email protected] So far, it doesn’t look like FEMA will be reimbursing the city any time soon for millions of dollars of unplanned expenditures for Winter Storm Mara, and several projects for this fiscal year are being put on hold temporarily as a result of the cost. At the April 13 meeting, the Taylor City Council approved moving forward with amending this year’s budget to account for the approximately $5.2 million the city has had to shell out for debris removal and other costs associated with storm cleanup. 04/19/2023 06:50 AM

The hunt for fun
Easter weekend was a time to hunt for fun in Taylor. On Saturday, April 8, the city and Frontier Bank hosted the annual Easter Egg Hunt in Heritage Square.
