Curio Mrvosa Book Gang

Wednesday, April 12 — At 7 p.m. in Good Strangers Coffee Shop every second Wednesday of the month at 114 W. 2nd St. Curio Mrvosa Book Gang meets for their monthly gathering, a book club with a twist. SammySocks Etc. Ribbon Cutting Thursday, April 13 — Join SammySocks Etc. from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for a ribbon cutting event hosted by Hutto Area Chamber of Commerce, 122 East St. SammySocks Etc. offers socks for the whole family and coffee and tea. Their mission is to employ adults with differing abilities and provide a safe and adaptive work environment.

Rotary Golf Tournament

Friday, April 14 — From noon to 5 p.m., the Rotary Club of Taylor will celebrate its 2023 Golf Tournament at Mustang Creek Golf Course, 1100 Beech St. First, second and third placements will be awarded prizes. Community Appreciation Picnic Saturday, April 15 — From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the second annual Community Appreciation Picnic will occur at Adam Orgain Park, 1001 CR 137, Hutto. More than a dozen local non-profit organizations will join together with the Community In Action Non-Profit Coalition for a public event with picnic blankets and lawn chairs. The event will include free hot dogs and snow cones, kites, games, face painting, live music and more.

Cigar Rolling Class

Wednesday, April 26 — From 5 to 9 p.m., Red Cap Cigar Lounge will host a Tampeño cigar rolling class and event with Jorge Rodriguez, CEO of Tampeno Cigars, at 215 N. Main St., Taylor. $25 in advance, $35 day of the event. No membership fee needed, however, if attendees do not hold a Red Cap Locker, they must purchase at least $10 in tobacco, cigars or merchandise. Household Hazardous Waste Event

Saturday, April 15 — From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Williamson County and Waste Management will host a Household Hazardous Waste Cleanup Event at the Williamson County Expo Center, 5350 Bill Pickett Trail. The event is for Williamson County residents only. Attendees will stay in their vehicles with the windows up. Volunteers will unload hazardous household items from attendees’ cars.

Break The Silence 3K

Saturday, April 15 — From 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., The Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center will host their first-ever Break the Silence 3K Walk and Run and Kid’s Fun Run in Murphy Park, 1600 Veterans Dr. Sign up for 3K and walk starts at 6 am. 6th Annual Children’s Business Fair ESTEAM

Saturday, April 22 — Support the next generation of business owners at ESTEAM’s 6th Annual Children’s Business Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the CHASCO Family YMCA, 1801 N. Interstate Hwy 35, Round Rock. This free public event will be hosted by the FIRE Foundation and involves a competition across three age groups.
