QUACK TRACK QUALIFIES

The Ducks and Lady Ducks track and field teams continued their push to the state meet this past Thursday, April 21 at the District 19-20 4A area championships. A total of 15 Taylor athletes will advance to the regional round Friday and Saturday, April 29-30.

Taylor ISD sees more growth ahead, chamber hears

Taylor schools are inching closer to running out of room, which means the community will soon need to start talking about building new campuses, the superintendent said. That was the word from Taylor Independent School District Superintendent Devin Padavil during the recent monthly luncheon of the Greater Taylor Chamber of Commerce.

GEORGETOWN — Williamson County residents devastated by tornadoes in March and earlier this month just got a little more help. During a presentation at Tuesday’s Williamson County Commissioners Court meeting, the Williamson County Rural Relief Fund received a $35,000 boost from Austin Samsung Semiconductors and the Williamson County Farm Bureau.
