The Assistance League of Georgetown recently donated $3,000 toward relief efforts of the Granger families affected by the tornado, along with other modes of relief. The district says that the organization has been a huge help to its school and community. Report: Retail demand growing

If Taylor’s H-E-B customers are any indication, the city is attracting a wide range of people to its businesses. On Thursday, April 14, the Taylor City Council received a presentation on the city’s trade area analysis from Aaron Farmer with The Retail Coach, a national retail consulting, market research and development firm.

Candidate forum hosts Anderson, Werner

The two contestants in next month’s only Taylor electoral race faced questions in front of the community last Tuesday. On April 12, Gerald Anderson and Stan Werner answered those questions during the candidate forum hosted by the Taylor Press and Greater Taylor Chamber of Commerce at the Taylor ISD Main Streets Event Center.

GISD buys land for new school

Ahead of a bond election that could help fund construction of a new high school, Granger Independent School District has determined its location. On March 9, the Granger ISD board of trustees voted unanimously to purchase additional land for the district at the March board meeting.

WilCo and Bluebonnet Trails address rising mental health needs

WILCO – The COVID-19 pandemic has taken a toll not only on people’s physical health, but their mental health as well. In order to better address mental health care needs in the community, the Williamson County Commissioners Court partnered with Bluebonnet Trails Community Services (BTCS), the local mental health authority in Williamson County, on several projects that were funded through the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act or American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
