Williamson County Tax Assessor/Collector Larry Gaddes announced a new program March 4 designed to help homeowners stay in their homes. The American Rescue The American Rescue Plan passed by Congress provides money to help homeowners impacted by the pandemic avoid foreclosure of their homestead.

City moves to keep pace with Samsung

Residents got another glimpse Thursday into how the planned Samsung manufacturing plant is prompting changes to Taylor’s plans to handle future growth. The multinational chip maker’s intent to build a $17 billion, 6 million square-foot fabrication plant operational by 2024 led city staff to determine needed alterations to the Envision Taylor comprehensive plan.

The 2022 Cotton Boll Relays are now in the books. The host Taylor Ducks and Lady Ducks combined for eight varsity first-place finishes and 16 top-three varsity finishes this past Thursday, March 10.

Warrants issued for Hutto death
Warrants issued for Hutto death

Two arrest warrants have been issued in connection with the recent death of a Hutto teen girl shot in December. Hutto Interim Police Chief Jim Stuart announced the warrants, filed March 2, name a minor female wanted on a juvenile charge of felony manslaughter and her father, who faces a misdemeanor charge of making a firearm accessible to a child resulting in death.
