CORRECTION:

In the Nov. 27 edition of the Taylor Press, the headline “Hutto ISD asks for state for more money” was misleading. It was correctly reported within the article that Hutto ISD considers additional funding for fast-growing districts to be a top legislative priority for this coming year.

GEORGETOWN — A national task force of county leaders created to address housing affordability and stability has tagged Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell to join the action. Gravell, who was recently elected to his second term as county judge, cited the invitation as an opportunity to learn what’s working well in other places and apply it to the county.

The Thrall Tigers season was rocky because of injuries but they had plenty of players step up when they needed them most and it earned them some post-season awards. Like all the other schools the Tigers had a good chunk of players be selected to the All-Academic team.

Hippos’ volleyball players named to all-district team

The Hutto Hippos volleyball team season has come to an end but they had some players named to a high honor. The season may be over for the Hippos but the celebration for these players continues as these young athletes achieved high honors of All-Academic, first and second team All-District teams with a couple of honorable mentions.
