Teaching from the heart

Jennifer Tobler has devoted all twenty-two years of her career at Naomi Pasemann Elementary School, teaching first and second grade. Her mother recently retired from education, and she alone inspired Tobler to not only teach, but to teach from the heart.

“She always treated her students as if they were her very own,” said Tobler. “Through the years I was fortunate enough to witness the difference she made in so many lives. I would love nothing more than to carry on her legacy.”

Tobler believes the most impactful teachers are the ones that prioritize building relationships.

“Whether it be with students, parents, coworkers or administration, investing your time, attention, and heart is key when cultivating genuine relationships,” said Tobler. “Truly knowing your students interests and experiences is valuable information that should be utilized when designing meaningful and engaging lessons.”
