Charles Nelson Wagner, 88, of Taylor, passed away Friday, Feb. 3, 2023.

Rosalie Irene Bachmeyer Minzenmayer, loving wife, mother, motherin- law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to many, passed away peacefully the evening of Feb. 5, 2023, at the age of 88. Rosalie was born April 11, 1934, in Taylor, to parents Joe and Ella (Meiske) Bachmeyer.

On Feb. 1, Mayor Brandt Rydell issued a disaster declaration for the city, which was extended for another seven days Feb.

The filing deadline is Friday, Feb. 17 to run for open seats in the upcoming local election.

Last week, the city of Taylor announced that the Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with Good Life Taylor, will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for the recently completed Percussion Park at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18. The playground is located in Murphy Park between the lake and the swimming pool.

GEORGETOWN – The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is approaching 200 dogs in the shelter, an unsustainably critical capacity, and is reaching out to request immediate help from the community.
