David Lee Kruse, 66 of Hutto, passed away Sept. 1, 2022, peacefully on his ranch, surrounded by family.

OBITUARIES Virgie Nell Ruthven Simcik, 84, of Taylor went to be with her Heavenly Father Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022, with her family by her side.

Sheryl Lynn Arbuckle Green passed away Aug. 25, 2022, at the age of 65. Sheryl was born Feb. 1, 1957, in Taylor, to La Verne and Ray Arbuckle, Jr. She was a daddy’s girl and when she was eight years old, her parents brought home her baby brother, Russell, whom she lovingly wanted returned to the hospital. Sheryl had a love of the outdoors and all animals from an early age. Growing up in Elgin, she could be found spending time with her horse Cactus and her dog Butchie writing stories and celebrating just about anything with her dear friends.

Tommy Scott, age 74, passed away Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022. A visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Providence Funeral Home. A celebration of Tommy’s life will be held Saturday, Sept. 3, at 2 p.m. at Memorial Baptist Church in Taylor. Interment to follow at the Taylor City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Providence Funeral Home.

Sheryl Lynn Arbuckle Green passed away Aug. 25, 2022, at the age of 65.

Shelby Ray Stence, 86, of Lexington, passed away the morning of Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022, at his home in Lexington.

Marvin Lawrence “Dusty” Rodenbeck was born July 3, 1933, in Detmold. He was the seventh child, and second son, of W.C. and Margaret Unnasch Rodenbeck. Marvin passed away Saturday, Aug. 20, at his home in Thorndale. Known as “Dusty” throughout his life, he served in the United States Army from July 1953 until June 1955.

Anthony Hernandez, 67, passed away Aug. 20, 2022. Anthony was born Feb. 17, 1955. A visitation will be held Sunday, Aug. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary beginning at 7 p.m. at Providence Funeral Home, 807 Carlos Parker Blvd.
