Virginia Louise Fritz Crunk, 81, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Baylor, Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center.

Virginia was born Jan. 26, 1941, in Taylor. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Immanuel Lutheran Church of West Taylor. She was a graduate of the 1959 class of Taylor High School. Virginia was valedictorian of her class. She graduated from Texas Lutheran College in 1963 with a Bachelor of Arts. She began a teaching career in math classes at Lake Air Junior High School in Waco. She also taught one year of math at McGregor ISD.

Virginia married Keith T. Crunk. They had two children, Jeffrey and Derek.

Virginia returned to school at Baylor University and, in 1991, completed state certification to become a certified public accountant. She worked at the Texas Life Insurance Company in Waco. Virginia was active in the St. Paul Lutheran Church, in Crawford. For many years she was one of several church organists as a member of St. Paul Lutheran.

Virginia was preceded in death by husband, Keith; parents, Henry Ray Fritz and Leona Decker Fritz; and brother, Jonathan Fritz.

She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Crunk and Derek Crunk; sister, Emily Fritz Simons; sister-in-law, Sharon Fritz; daughtersin- law, Sharon Siske-Crunk and Jennifer Crunk; grandchildren, Elliott Crunk, Elizabeth Crunk, and Ava Crunk; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Graveside services and burial will be Sept. 18, at 3 p.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 411 Co Rd 401 in Taylor, with Reverend Charlie Simons, brotherin law, presiding. The cemetery is behind the church. Visitation will be at Immanuel Lutheran following the burial.
