Georgetown Palace Theatre will present “Something Rotten” at the Springer Stage from April 15 to May 15. Nominated for 10 Tony Awards, this rollicking show has been called “a valentine to musical theatre.” Set in the 1590s, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rock star known as “The Bard.” When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theatre involves singing, dancing and acting at the same time, Nick and Nigel set out to write the world’s very first musical. 05/11/2022 10:14 AM

After two years of sporadic meetings due to COVID-19, the Junior Woman’s Study Club celebrated a gathering at the Lucky Duck Cafe on Thursday, April 14, with 20 members present.
