After two years of sporadic meetings due to COVID-19, the Junior Woman’s Study Club celebrated a gathering at the Lucky Duck Cafe on Thursday, April 14, with 20 members present.
Ginny McAlister gave the blessing including a reading from an Easter prayer booklet, by Peter Marshall, which was given to her by her mother-in-law over 40 years ago.
The organization voted to give $500 to Shepherd’s Heart Food Pantry & Ministries, whose mission it is to serve people in and around Taylor by providing basic assistance with food, clothing and emergency needs.
Patricia Felfe installed the officers of president Anne Wentrcek, first vice president Melissa White, second vice president Melanie Thompson, third vice president Marsha Beckerman, recording secretary Betty Hile, corresponding secretary Edith Remmel, treasurer Shannon Carroll and reporter Darlene Rydell.
The hostesses for the meeting were Martha Griffith, Betty Inman, Ginny McAlister, Liz O’Dell and Darlene Rydell.
