Seven students and two adults from Taylor High School observed Columbine Day April 20 with a community service project for American Legion Post 39.
The group of seniors spent the morning helping with cleaning up the building and the grounds. Taylor High School counselor Laurie Morris graduated from Columbine High School in 1988, and the day marked the anniversary of the tragedy that occurred at Columbine in 1999.
It has been a tradition in the Columbine community to mark that anniversary with a day of service. The Taylor High School group hopes to bring this tradition of a Day of Service on April 20 to the Taylor Community.
