This weekend, the U.S. remembers when new citizens were born of a new country, and two Taylor Independent School District student were recently recognized as remarkable modern citizens.

One of Taylor’s famed barbecue restaurants will be represented next Sunday at of the Texas Restaurant Association’s featured annual events. Wayne Mueller, Louie Mueller Barebecue owner and pitmaster, will be one of the featured chefs at the TRA Lone Star Bash July 10 in Dallas.

WILCO – Williamson County offices will be closed Monday, July 4, in observance of the July 4th Independence Day holiday. In addition, the Commissioners Court will not meet Tuesday, July 5, and will resume their regular schedule Tuesday, July 12, at 9:30 a.m.
