Area sports summer camps continue next week
Taylor and Hutto will each be back in action next week as the three school districts will host various sports camps for younger athletes. TAYLOR Lady Ducks basketball will host two separate camps this upcoming week that will provide individual instruction and team concepts under the Taylor girls basketball program on June 5 – 8. 06/03/2023 04:45 PM

6U Pirates finish season undefeated

The Taylor High School and Thrall High School varsity football teams were in action on Saturday at separate 7-on-7 scrimmage sites in Burnet and Lott, respectively. Pitching propels Ducks over Salado
GEORGETOWN – The Taylor High School varsity baseball team began the 4A regional quarterfinals versus Salado High School Thursday, May 18, with a gritty 5-0 shutout in game 1 of the best-ofthree series held at East View High School. Ducks junior starting pitcher Chris Perez was consistent all game for Taylor as he threw a complete-game shutout on 102 pitches, with a whopping 11 strikeouts, three walks issued and just two hits allowed on the night. 05/19/2023 08:44 PM

MUMFORD – The Granger Lady Lions defeated district rivals Bremond Tigers Thursday, May 11, to advance to the fourth round of the playoffs.
