Just four years after it was constructed, the splash park at Heritage Square is in need of a major upgrade. At the regular meeting of the Taylor City Council Aug.

The Williamson County Cities and Health District (WCCHD) has notified Taylor that a mosquito trap sample collected in Murphy Park has tested positive for West Nile Virus. This testing is part of the WCCHD’s Integrated Vector Management program which through surveillance, control, prevention and education, aims to prevent human infection of mosquito-borne diseases.

GEORGETOWN — A Williamson County jury reached a verdict Monday, Aug. 28 that will send a Taylor man to prison for life without the possibility of parole.

District drops tax rate HUTTO – Hutto Independent School District board of trustees adopted a fiscal year 2022-23 tax rate that is $0.1854 lower than the current year’s rate. The 18.5 cent drop results in a total that is also lower than the no new revenue rate.

AUSTIN – The Family and Consumer Sciences Teachers Association is pleased to announce the appointment of new members for its 2023-2024 Board of Directors. FCSTAT is the only professional organization dedicated solely to representing family and consumer sciences educators in Texas.

HUTTO – The Hutto City Council will determine the tax rate after two public hearings next month. Public hearings are set for the council to vote on the proposed tax rate.
