Taylor experienced a brief break from triple-digit heat this week. Cloudy skies helped the area experience moderate temperatures, with highs barely reaching 80 degrees towards the end of the week.

Fight! Fight! Fight!: Bullying worries parents

Just a few weeks into the new school year, students and their parents are already dealing with violence and bullying. At Hutto High School Aug. 30, a girl was hospitalized after an attack by two girls who allegedly laid in wait to catch her between classes. In Taylor, medical services were needed for a middle school student who was beaten at a football game on Sept. 1.

While Korean companies tried to find Williamson County workers in Taylor to fill jobs at a job fair, county and city officials were heading to South Korea to strengthen the business ties that could fuel an economic boom for at least the next two decades. Hutto recovers funds involved in two criminal investigations

HUTTO – The city of Hutto has successfully recovered $286,000 involved in two separate external criminal investigations. In mid-August, $193,000 was transferred out of the city’s bank account at the request of a fraudulent party impersonating a known city vendor.
