At halftime of their game against Arlington St. Paul’s Prep, St. Mary’s crowned a Homecoming Court for the first time since 1965.

Cody Higgs was named king, while Victoria Sheffy was named queen.

Both Higgs and Sheffy serve as house prefects, which means they act as a mentor and representative for younger students in their house groups. Sheffy is the House of Augustine’s prefect and Higgs is the House of Athanasius’ prefect.

During her time at St. Mary’s Catholic High School, Sheffy has run on the cross country team and played on both the soccer and basketball teams. Additionally, she enjoys playing the piano in her spare time.

Once she graduates, she plans on attending the Savannah College of Art & Design in Georgia where she wants to major in animation.

With his nomination, Higgs became St. Mary’s first ever Homecoming king. He has played on the football, soccer and golf teams during his years at St. Mary’s. He is part of the National Honor Society and enjoys Formula 1 motor car racing in his free time.

Higgs plans on attending the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado where he wants to major in aviation and business.
