It is important to note that an arrest should not be considered as evidence of guilt. The defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
SEPT. 4
Gregory Carter, 32, of Taylor was arrested at 3:14 a.m., in the 400 block of Rio Grande St.
Officers responded to a report of a disturbance. An investigation revealed Carter physically assaulted a member of the household, causing injury. Carter was placed under arrest and charged with Assault with Injury/Family Violence, a class A misdemeanor.
Carter posted bond for $3,000 and was released Sept. 5.
Tramika Ugorji, 42, of Taylor was arrested at 11:42 a.m. at Wal-Mart, 3701 N. Main St. Officers apprehended Ugorji, who had an outstanding warrant out of Taylor for Theft of Property, a class A misdemeanor. Ugorji posted bond for $15,000 and was released Sept. 10.
Travis Tanskley, 32, of Taylor was arrested at 2:00 a.m., in the 3700 block of N. Main St. Officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. An investigation revealed Tanskley had taken a vehicle without the owner’s permission.
Tanskley was placed under arrest and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, a state jail felony.
SEPT. 5
Michael Jones, 34, of Taylor was arrested at 12:00 p.m. Officers learned that Jones had been arrested by another agency for an outstanding warrant out of Taylor (Fail to Register-Sex Offender, a third-degree felony). Jones posted bond for $10,000 and was released Sept. 1.
SEPT. 6
Eliza Oranday, 24, of Taylor was arrested at 3:43 a.m., in the 500 block of S. Main St. Officers apprehended Oranday, who had an outstanding warrant out of Williamson County for Probation Revocation-Assault, a class A misdemeanor.
SEPT. 8
Ronnie De La Cruz, 51, of Taylor was arrested 2:00 a.m., in the 3700 block of N. Main St.
Officers apprehended De La Cruz, who had two outstanding warrants: 1) Evading Arrest/ Detention, a class A misdemeanor out of Taylor, and 2) Assault with Injury with Injury/ Family Violence, a class A misdemeanor out of Austin. De La Cruz was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and was further charged with Possession of Controlled Substance, penalty group 1 over 1 gram, a thirddegree felony. De La Cruz is still in custody of Williamson County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
