GRANGER – The City of Granger approved the hiring of police officer Haley Galindo to a full-time position during its November city council meeting. Her job officially began Tuesday, Jan.

HUTTO – Richie Cooper, of Hutto, realized early on that he could use his hands and mind to be the technically skilled worker that a company wants. Cooper recently started his second semester at Texas State Technical College (TSTC) in East Williamson County in the Industrial Systems - Mechanical Specialization program, where he is working toward an Associate of Applied Science degree.

GISD determined keep kids in school

Closing school was a measure of last resort, but Granger ISD students are back in class this week and plan to stay there. “We are doing everything in our power to make sure that we keep in-person education,” said Superintendent Jeni Neatherlin, “because we know that is vital to the school district and to the families and the community members of Granger.” Last week, Neatherlin spoke about the state of Granger ISD as it relates to the COVID-19 pandemic.
