Monica von Waaden, of Hope4Austin, is partnering with Taylor ISD Family Services, Sodexo and Shepherd’s Heart Food Pantry & Ministries to supply food for the district’s weekend backpack meal program. Heritage Square Farmers Market The Farmers Market is typically every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

On March 8, United Seniors of Taylor Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization will meet, at 9:30 a.m. at the Tripp Center, located at 1517C McLain St.

Local churches invite the public to a central location for an important date this week. Tenth Street United Methodist Church will host an Ash Wednesday service on March 2 along with First United Methodist Church and Allen Chapel AME Church of Taylor and the Thrall United Methodist Church.

Victor Henry Stern, age 94, passed away Feb. 13, 2022.

Victoria (Zett) Finn, 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Feb. 18, 2022.

Maria Dolores Enriguez (Sanchez) passed away peacefully Feb. 20, 2022, at the age of 87.

Taylor-Barbara Kay (Ross) Caballero, 65, passed away Feb. 17, 2022, at home surrounded by her loved ones.

Arvilla Jean (Waite) Paulson went home to be with the Lord Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Daniel Elias Marek, 88, of Austin passed away Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2022, with his family at his side.
