Heritage Square

Farmers Market

The Farmers Market is typically every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Heritage Square, 400 N. Main St. in Taylor. For updates, visit https://www.facebook.com/heritagesquarefarmersmarket.

Third Thursday

Every third Thursday of each month, Taylor’s downtown businesses will be open past 5 until 8 p.m. and offer in-store specials, live music, door prizes and other activities. The event is designed to encourage residents to shop locally and become familiar with the shops in the downtown area.

COVID-19 & Flu Vaccines

The Williamson County and Cities Health District will have a walk-in clinic for COVID-19 and flu vaccinations every Tuesday from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Taylor building is located at 115 W. 6th St., one block from Main Street north of downtown Taylor. Luminaries on the Square

Friday, April 22 — Join people for an evening of honoring all cancer survivors and their caregivers, as well as remembering those who lost the fight. The event will be at Heritage Square from 6 to 9 p.m. All donations go to the American Cancer Society.

Plant Swap

Saturday, April 23 — The Friends of the Taylor Public Library will host a plant swap at the library, 801 Vance St. in Taylor. People can bring plants at 10 a.m., and swapping will be from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is free, and all children will get a free plant. There will be master gardeners throughout the day, along with informal gardening advice circles.

Pond Management

Tuesday, April 26 — From 9 a.m. to noon, the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office is presenting a program to help with your ponds. Guest speaker Brittany Chesser, aquatic vegetation program specialist with Texas A&M, will address topics and demonstrate an on-site analysis of pond water. Lunch is included. Two continuing education units are offered. The cost is $25 and you can register at williamson.agrilife.org. The event will be at the Lake Hutto Park Pavilion, 805 Estate Drive. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and waterproof footwear..

5K, 10K, more

April 30-May 1 — The Hippo Stampede will be a virtual race with proceeds benefitting Hutto community scholarships. To register, visit bit.ly/hippostampede22. For more information, including how to be a sponsor, email [email protected]
