HUTTO – The city of Hutto joins organizations from around the country in recognizing National Public Works Week, celebrated this year from Sunday, May 21 through Saturday, May 27. City to oppose wastewater plant HUTTO – City council is opposing the permit for a wastewater treatment plant to be located near Veterans’ Hill Elementary School, 555 Limmer Loop, at the site of a future housing development. The application to build the privately-owned plant is being reviewed by the Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

Memorial Day Sunset Block Party Friday, May 26 — From 6 to 9 p.m., Hutto’s Municipal Government will host Hutto Parks and Recreation for a block party at Fritz Park, 400 Park St. The event will observe a remembrance ceremony in honor of Memorial Day. There will be food trucks, vendors, live music and family-friendly activities.
