“There is goodness everywhere and kindness matters.”
I usually end my column with these words, but this time I want to start with it because I have experienced so much kindness this week that I want to share with you.
“Shoutout to Ashley and Omar at Strickland Brothers for their fast and friendly service. They even offered my husband, who is a veteran, a military discount.”
“Shoutout to Melinda Ryan and Theresa Briones for their random acts of kindness. Both ladies offered plants to community members, and even delivered them. Thank you for your kindness.”
“Shoutout to MIXTAPE. They just opened on 108 W Second St. and we had a chance to try them today ... Great atmosphere … We will be back.”
The following shoutout was submitted by Joseph Branson. “A big thank you to Taylor H-E-B tonight.
Someone near and dear to me (don’t want to embarrass anyone by giving the name, but she helped raise me as a youth at FBC Taylor) fell in the parking lot. H-E-B staff did her shopping for her while Tracey and I waited with her. H-E-B refused to let her pay for her groceries as well! What a great town we have here.”
Please tell us about the little things that made your day. Let us know who needs a shoutout.
You can either send it to Taylor Press, 211 W. Third Street or post on our Good News Taylor Made Facebook Page.
