6U Pirates finish season undefeated

The Taylor Area Baseball and Softball 6U Pittsburgh Pirates finished the season undefeated Saturday with a 19-17 win over the 6U Minnesota Twins. The game started off rocky with a triple play in the bottom of the first made by the Twins’ defense.

Taylor, Thrall football compete at 7-on-7 competitions

The Taylor High School and Thrall High School varsity football teams were in action on Saturday at separate 7-on-7 scrimmage sites in Burnet and Lott, respectively. TAYLOR DUCKS Under first-year head coach Earven Flowers, the Ducks competed against Gatesville High School, Burnet and Rockdale High School.

Hippos walk the walk

On Thursday night, Hutto High School seniors strolled across the stage to accept diplomas as the conclusion of their senior year. Class President, Parker Cardozo addressed the crowd, thanking parents, families, friends and teachers for helping to make the day possible.

GREEN AND WHITE SHALL EVER FLY

It was an unforgettable Friday night May 26 at the duck pond. Taylor High School staff member Bobbie Griffin sat at the side of the Taylor High School stadium, handing out programs to families as the proces- sional emerged from the field house and the school band began to play “Pomp and Circumstance.” Griffin sat beside a flowing sea of students dressed in green and white robes, led by teachers wearing their own black caps and gowns.

THRALL GRADUATES CHASE BIG DREAMS

THRALL – Friends and relatives filled Tiger Stadium May 26 to watch 50 Thrall seniors take their final steps as high school students. As the graduates walked across the stage, Principal Nicole Tindol announced where each one’s path would lead next.

LEGACY GRADUATION

Legacy Early College was the first of area schools to hold graduation. The ceremony May 19 saw 40 graduates walk the stage, 34 of which earned their associates degree from Temple College a week prior.
