HUTTO – The seven candidates running for city council faced off at a forum held by the Hutto Area Chamber of Commerce Tuesday, April 11. Questions were gathered from chamber members and Board Chair Drew Hargrove presided over the event.

HUTTO – Hutto Automotive Skills Students brought home top prizes from the SkillsUSA State Competition March 30. The competition focuses on excellence in various technical careers.

HUTTO – Proving that people can have different views and still sit together at a table, all seven candidates for Hutto City Council answered audience questions during the 2023 Hutto Community Watch candidate forum March 25. Although candidates agreed in principal on many questions, following are a few areas where they differed.

Adam Orgain, Hutto’s first settler, honored

HUTTO – In 1854, a lone 17-year-old braved harsh winters, grew his own food and protected the land and cattle belonging to his owner. Adam Orgain was a slave, and a vital, but almost unrecognized, part of Hutto’s history. Now, the city is telling his story with the official naming of Adam Orgain Park, a 65-acre recreational area adjacent to the Brushy Creek Amphitheater at 1001 CR 137.
