I don’t know what I don’t know, but what I do know is that every single day is an opportunity to learn and grow and be a better human than I was the day before. Period. Turning a blind eye to the injustices happening around us is not a privilege. It’s a cowardly copout.

This past Monday, Jan. 24 the Taylor ISD school board met to recognize Taylor students and student athletes for their accomplishments. The board members were also recognized from Taylor area schools for their hard work and dedication to the district this past year.

UPCOMING EVENTS Heritage Square Farmers Market The Farmers Market is typically every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There will be a chance for residents who speak Spanish to know more about the county’s law enforcement. During March 3-31, the Williamson During March 3-31, the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office will host a Spanish version of its Citizen Academy, La Academia de Ciudadanos en Enspañol.

Did you know the Williamson County Master Gardeners have a demonstration garden in which they plant a wide variety of flowers, vegetables and fruits? Master Gardeners Judy Williams, Dale Hill and Jim Williams will present a free program to discuss the results of recent vegetable trials conducted at the AgriLife Demonstration Garden. They will discuss marigolds, parsnips, potatoes and lots of tips and advice.

Are your garden tools ready for spring? Keeping your garden tools in tip-top shape will save you time and energy. The topic for the February Green Thumbs Up program is “Preparing Garden Tools for Spring,” presented by Master Gardener Tommy King.
