A Taylor Press online story May 12 headlined “Legislation could give property owners near Samsung more of a say” referenced an email by Taylor Assistant City Manager Tom Yantis that had some words missing in the last sentence. The sentence should have read: “I would be happy to discuss other properties that are within the city’s intended growth areas and how we could work with you on plans for a housing development in one of those areas.”

GEORGETOWN – What does a Justice of the Peace do once they have been elected? What is their role in county government? These questions and more will be answered at the Justice of the Peace Community Forum scheduled for Monday, June 5 at the Williamson County Justice of the Peace Precinct 3 office, 100 Wilco Way in Georgetown. At the forum, guests will learn how a Justice of the Peace works with small claims, debt claims, Class C traffic violations, juvenile cases, death inquests, weddings and more.
