Marilyn Sue Slagle Beene, of Taylor, was born Nov. 8, 1946, in Okemah, Oklahoma, to Jack Oliver Slagle Sr. and Geraldine Watts Slagle Smith. She passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023, at the age of 76.
Marilyn attended school in Drumright, Oklahoma. She was employed by several tradeshow companies, last being Image Craft as a tradeshow coordinator for over 20 years.
Her favorite pastimes were sewing and spending time with her grandkids. Her greatest enjoyment was her two sons and four grandkids.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Nancy Kaye.
She is survived by her sons and daughtersin- law, Jack E. and Mariko Beene of Nagoya, Japan, and Jeremy D. and Desiree Beene of Hutto; her grandchildren, Andrew and Emma Beene of Japan, and Zoe and Kenadi Beene of Hutto; and her brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack Oliver and Teresa Slagle of Florence, Colorado, and John Raymond and Joni Slagle of Kilgore.
Marilyn’s wishes were to donate her body to science, so she will be with University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, and then her body will be cremated and ashes will be spread at sea.
