For residential customers with a City of Taylor utility bill, the city bases its monthly wastewater charges on the average water consumption • page 1 for three out of the four months of November, December, January, and February.

Advent fair Nov. 12 at St. John Lutheran Church in Bartlett

St. John’s Lutheran Church will host its 43 annual Advent Fair from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 12 at the church, located at 30650 State Highway 95, one mile north of Bartlett. At the fair, visitors can enjoy a silent and live auction, which will start at 6 p.m., featuring handmade and donated items for holiday gifts, including quilts, wreaths, wood projects and more. For $12 per plate, attendees can enjoy a turkey-anddressing dinner prepared by church members from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., a country store, featuring crafts, home-baked goods, casseroles and canned items, as well as St. John Lutheran Church parishioners’ famous creamcheese breads, which will only have a limited availability at the fair.

Fifth annual Taylor Veterans 5K Beer Run raises thousands for Taylor charities

Downtown improvement construction kicks of this week

Construction kicked off Monday for a number of improvements to the city’s downtown. Projects will include striping for additional parking spaces, updated landscaping, signage, and the installation of permanent street features on the northwest corner of Second and Main streets.
