St. John’s Lutheran Church will host its 43 annual Advent Fair from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 12 at the church, located at 30650 State Highway 95, one mile north of Bartlett. At the fair, visitors can enjoy a silent and live auction, which will start at 6 p.m., featuring handmade and donated items for holiday gifts, including quilts, wreaths, wood projects and more. For $12 per plate, attendees can enjoy a turkey-anddressing dinner prepared by church members from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., a country store, featuring crafts, home-baked goods, casseroles and canned items, as well as St. John Lutheran Church parishioners’ famous creamcheese breads, which will only have a limited availability at the fair.
Proceeds for the event will benefit the charity projects sponsored by the women of the church, including local food pantries in Holland, Bartlett and Granger, Lutheran World Relief, Lutheran Social Services, Ronald McDonald House, Family Promise, scholarships for St. John’s graduating seniors as well as other nonprofit organizations and local needs.
