Granger Farmers Market
Fresh fruits, vegetables, jelly, canned and baked goods, eggs, artisan crafts and more will be at the Granger Main Street Farmers Market on the first and third Saturdays from April through October from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the corner of W. Davilla and Walton streets in Granger.
Third Thursday
Every third Thursday of the month, Taylor’s downtown businesses will be open past 5 until 8 p.m. and offer in-store specials, live music, door prizes and other activities. The event is designed to encourage residents to shop locally and become familiar with the shops in the downtown area.

SPJST Lodge 29 Taylor Every Friday, SPJST Lodge 29 hosts live music and dancing and serves hamburgers at its hall at 5025 FM 619 in Taylor. Bands play from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Admission is free.
SPJST is a fraternal organization. Residents can purchase life insurance, annuities or other items in order to become a member of the SPJST. The hall is open for business Wednesdays through Sundays from 3 to 10 p.m.
Businesswomen group The Taylor Area Businesswomen’s (TAB) luncheon meetings are held at noon on the fourth Tuesday of each month at Gatti’s Pizza, 2708 N. Main St. in Taylor.

Weight loss group The Taylor Take Off Pounds Sensibly Chapter 1343 will have in-person meetings of their weight-loss support group Thursdays at 4:30 p.m. at Grace Place, 301 Grace Lane in Taylor. Members are recommitting to continuance of their health journeys and invite others who’ve struggled with their weight to join them at the meeting. Senior Dominoes On the fourth Tuesday every month, seniors are invited to play 42 and Straight Dominoes at Taylor Brethren Church’s Friends Fellowship, 710 Sloan St. in Taylor, from 2 to 4 p.m. Game awards are presented, and anniversaries and birthdays are presented. Thursday, Nov. 17 — The music series concludes with Austin funk band Honey Made at 7 p.m. at Heritage Square Park. The event is free and family friendly.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets, chairs, and picnics to enjoy the show in the park.
Chamber Luncheon: Jesse Ancira Monday, Nov. 21 — Former Taylor Mayor Jesse Ancira with Ancira Strategies will offer us a glimpse of what is in store as the 88th Texas Legislature begins its 140 days of regular session work in January at 11:45 a.m. at Holiday Inn Express and Suites, 180 Carlos G. Mistletoe Market Saturday, Dec. 3 — From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., get all your holiday gifts at Art Off Center’s yearly handmade crafts and pottery sale at Mccrory Timmerman Gallery, 201 N. Main St., in Taylor.
Christmas Parade Saturday, Dec. 3 — A parade of lights and holiday spirit will be on Main Street starting at 7 p.m. and end in downtown Taylor.
Christmas Tree Lighting Saturday, Dec. 3 — After a 7 p.m. Christmas parade concludes, there will be a city tree lighting ceremony at Heritage Square.
Christmas Homes Tour Saturday, Dec. 3-4 —The Taylor Conservation and Heritage Society will showcase four of Taylor’s most historic structures, including Calla Lily Inn, Pecan Manor Bed and Breakfast, Taylor Mansion, West Mansion, and St. James Episcopal Church. Tickets are $15 from Nov.
1-30 at the Taylor Chamber of Commerce, Vintage Affairs, Taylor Soap Bar, and the Taylor Press.
Brochures with details and a map will be supplied with ticket purchase. Tickets will also be available the days of the tour from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. for $20. Children under 12 are free when accompanied by a ticket holder.
Book & Gift Wrap Party Sunday, Dec. 4 — Libros Book Mobile and Wilco Art Lab are hosting a free party from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Loose Screw at Old Taylor High, 410 W Seventh St. in Taylor.
Participants will be able to select a beautiful used book and wrap it as a gift for someone with wrapping paper, ribbon and even little embellishments donated from the art lab.

Loud & Gaudy Ugly Sweater Party Friday, Dec. 9 — Wilco Art Lab will host an ugly sweater party from 6 to 9 p.m. at the studio, located on the second floor of Old Taylor High, 410 W Seventh St.
There will be an ornament making station for $5 for all ages, a free letter to Santa station, plus a contest with prizes for the ugliest, most creative, most festive, cutest, funniest and best couple sweaters. The lab will be collecting teddy bears for the Taylor Police Department for kids they encounter on duty. Participants who bring a teddy bear will be eligible for a raffle drawing. Chamber Banquet Tuesday, Jan. 17 — The Greater Taylor Chamber of Commerce will host their annual Chamber and Community Awards banquet, entitled “Building on a Strong Foundation” from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Williamson County Expo Center, located northeast of Williamson County, will host the event at 6 p.m. at the Williamson County Expo Center, 5350 Bill Pickett Trail.
