A report on finances is ready and will be given to the Taylor City Council Thursday night. The council is set to hear the annual comprehensive financial report for fiscal year 2020-21.

If you have a place that hosts others for overnight stays, there’s an opportunity you might be interested in this week. The Greater Taylor Chamber of Commerce is hosting an hour workshop for hoteliers and vacation rental hosts 2-3 p.m.

On April 1, the Taylor Press will have some rate increases, and that is no April Fool’s joke. Due to a paper shortage and increased costs of materials, rates at the Taylor Press will see an increase next month.

Local students will have animals to be adopted next next month. The National Honor Society chapter of Legacy Early College High School is sponsoring a pet adoption event April 2 from 10 a.m.

Georgetown Palace Theatre will present “9-to-5 The Musical” until April 3 at the Springer Stage. “9-to-5 The Musical,” with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick, is based on the seminal 1980 hit movie.
