Alternate routes will be needed to get around downtown Taylor Saturday On June 25, the Taylor PRIDE Music & Arts Festival will be from 2 to 10 p.m. at Black Sparrow Music Parlor, Texas Beer Company, Xchange Nightlife and outside along Second Street from Main to Vance streets and on half of a Talbot Street block north and south of Second.

Burn ban remains in effect

Williamson County is under a burn ban. On June 21, Commissioners Court has issued a county-wide burn ban for a period not to exceed 90 days due to severe drought conditions, above average heat, low humidity, low fuel moistures and high winds that are creating dangerous wildfire conditions that would be exacerbated by outdoor burning.

A Taylor manufacturing production facility is celebrating a longtime team member clocking out for the final time. After more than 17 years of service to the Gemini team in Taylor, Steve Putsejovsky retired on May 27.

On June 8-9, Hutto ISD dministrators, executives, safety officials and police participated in the The “I Love U Guys” Foundation training for reunification in the event of schoolwide crisis. “We understand that should an event occur, parents want nothing more than to be reunited with their children as fast as possible,” said Hutto ISD staff.
