Grab a beer and run
On your mark, get set, go . . . to the first beer station. The fifth annual Taylor Veterans 5K Beer Run, hosted by the American Legion Graham D. Luhn Post 39 in Taylor, is set for Saturday, Nov. 5 in Murphy Park. The race is open to anyone who wants to participate. The course is 3.1 miles with eight beer stations throughout the race. Each station has water and a 4-ounce taster, which equates to two and half beers during the race. Runners are not required to drink beer. 11/02/2022 09:23 AM

HUTTO – Students at Ray Elementary School had an opportunity to partner with their fathers to cut up. The annual dad and student pumpkin carving event was held at the school last week. Election set for bond and council candidates
COUPLAND – On the Nov. 8 ballot, there are three Coupland City Council places up for election. There are five candidates for these places. Incumbents are Barbara Piper and John Roulston-Bates. New candidates are Victoria Gonzalez, Russell Schmidt and Ruby Wabbel.
