Early voting ends, Election Day March 1

Early voting is over for primary county elections, and 8.36% of Williamson County registered voters made it to the polls. A total of 33,469 ballots were cast during early voting, Feb.

Early voting is over for primary county elections, and 8.36% of Williamson County registered voters made it to the polls.

A total of 33,469 ballots were cast during early voting, Feb. 14-Feb. 25, from the 400,426 registered voters in the county.

In Taylor, a total of 1,154 votes were cast. Republicans had a stronger showing with 908 ballots cast opposed to the 246 cast by democrats.

At the Wilco Annex in Hutto, 1,176 ballots were cast. Republicans dominated the polls in Hutto as well with 792 ballots. There were 384 Democratic ballots cast.

Overall, Williamson County Republicans had a stronger showing with 19,858 ballots cast while Democrats had 10,572.

Election Day is Tuesday, March 1, and voters will determine candidates for their specific parties for the November election.

Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell, County Commissioner Precinct 4 Russ Boles, Williamson County Justice of the Peace Precinct 4 Judge Stacy Hackenberg and Williamson County Treasurer Scott Heselmeyer all have seats that will expire in November.
