Early voting begins under 5%

Early voting began Monday, Oct. 24, and compared to the primary, more voters trekked to the polls to cast their ballot.

Early voting began Monday, Oct. 24, and compared to the primary, more voters trekked to the polls to cast their ballot.

In February, the first day of early voting was at 0.67%, with just under 2,700 votes cast. For the Nov. 8 general election, early voting has begun with 15,128 of the county’s 414,868 registered voters, 3.65%, casted votes.

In Taylor, 722 people cast a vote at city hall the first day of early voting, while the Williamson County Annex in Hutto had 832 ballots cast. On day one of early voting, the Cedar Park Library was the most popular location with 1,337 votes cast.

Early voting continues until Nov. 4. Election Day is Nov. 8. Polling is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 24-29, from noon to 6 p.m. Oct.30, and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 31-Nov. 4.

Area locations to vote include in the auditorium of Taylor City Hall, 400 Porter St., and at the Williamson County Hutto Annex, Suite 200, 321 Ed Schmidt Blvd.
