An adult teenager was arrested Monday for a crash last month at the northern edge of Hutto.
Tristan Carrillo, 18, of Georgetown was booked into the Williamson County Jail Monday, June 13. He was charged with three counts of intoxication manslaughter, which are second degree felonies, and one count of intoxication assault with a vehicle, which is a third degree felony.
On May 13, three people died in a collision between a pickup truck and a semi-trailer truck at the highway’s intersection with Chandler Road north of Hutto. Carrillo reportedly drove the pickup truck, which contained passengers.
According to the arrest affidavit, Carrillo had a blood alcohol content of .083, which is over the state’s legal limit of .08. The affidavit also stated a case of beer was found in the truck.
Three people were killed and others were injured in the accident.
