Today, May 18, is the last day to secure your tickets for the upcoming Casino Night Gala hosted by the Greater Taylor Chamber of Commerce.

Admission is $75 per person or $125 per couple and can be registered for at the Chamber website, www.taylorchamber.org, by clicking on the Casino Gala logo at the top of the home page. The evening runs 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at the WilCo Expo Center, 5350 Bill Pickett Trail.

The event will include a variety of casino games including Las Vegas-style slot machines, blackjack, craps, roulette and Texas Hold’em after which guests will exchange their winnings for tickets for drawings of the amazing prizes. It will also include a silent auction of close to 50 items that range in value from $25 to $650.

Top winners at the Chamber’s 1920-style Casino Night Gala will take home prizes of $500- 1000 and more.

“You have until 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, to get your tickets so you can play the night away and, possibly, win a $1,000 or $500 Visa gift card, a five-night stay at a Puerto Rican resort, an hour sight-seeing flight over Taylor and so many more gifts and silent auction items” Gala Chair Julie Downs of Tierra Grande Real Estate said.

Heavy hors d’oeuvres and libations will round out the event.

Guests are encouraged to put on their best 1920-era style to add to the fun whether it’s flapper, mob or inspired by your own ideas of the Roaring 20s. Black-tie is always optional.

The Chamber reminds those attending who may want to rent a gown to consider finding Cinderella’s Closet on Facebook and contacting them for dresses that are rentable by a donation.

Support for the Chamber provides programs and services that expand the economy and prosperity of our community through advocacy and education for business owners, promotion of local events and attractions for drawing visitors, and welcoming new residents to our community.
