Edward Alvin Lantzsch, Jr.
Edward was born Oct. 21, 1936, in Taylor, to Annette and Edward Lantzsch, Sr.
Edward attended Hutto High School, graduating in 1955. His professional career included working for the State of Texas and being an assistant manager for Gibson’s. He used managerial and relational skills also in a volunteer role as president of the school board for Hutto Independent School District for seven years and Sunday School superintendent, on the vestry, along with serving on many committees at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. He was a true churchman.
Edward was a loving husband, father and friend. He was a family man, always making sure his family was taken care of. He enjoyed raising cattle and bailing hay. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Lantzsch, Sr.; mother, Annette Lantzsch; and sister, Dorothy Mogonye.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Louise Lantzsch; his sons, Stanley Lantzsch (Gladys) of Houston, Jamie Lantzsch (Lisa) of Rogers, Arkansas, and Klint Lantzsch (Gayla) of Round Rock; grandchildren, Trent Lantzsch, Raelyn Lantzsch, Byron Lantzsch, Ashley Lantzsch, Jordan Knight (Forrest), Jared Lantzsch (Morgan), Joshua Lantzsch (Madison) and Jentry Lantzsch; greatgrandchildren, Layla Huhner, Dax Huhner, Mikah Klinton Lantzsch, Sarah Elizabeth Knight, Lolly Jo Lantzsch, and Lynnie Bridges Lantzsch.
A visitation for Edward was held from 9:15 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Taylor, followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m.
Pallbearers were Byron Lantzsch, Jared Lantzsch, Joshua Lantzsch, Jon Mogonye and Greg Westmoreland.
Honorary pallbearers were Robert and Bonnie Kaderka, and Robert and Donna Rinehart.
Edward was laid to rest in Taylor City Cemetery.
